Absolute Whey offers a balanced combination of concentrated and isolated whey protein blends. Concentrates are more raw and unprocessed with more carbohydrates, fats and lactose. Isolates process some of that out leaving more raw protein. Purex kept it natural and very concentrate, but also wanted to give you a whole lot of protein!

BCAA’s are short for Branch Chain Amino Acids. They are no different than regular amino acids, which are found in protein. But BCAA’s are a specific ratio of certain amino acids that have been found to have the biggest impact on muscle protein synthesis (muscle growth). These three amino acids make up 35% of your muscle and the body does not make it on it’s own, making them ‘essential’. They also help prevent muscle breakdown or ‘catabolism’ by preserving muscle glycogen stores.

Purex added some protease, a digestive enzyme to help with absorption. Protease is a digestive enzyme that helps facilitate the breakdown of proteins. This is necessary for protein to be able to absorb into the body. At the end of the day if the supplements you are taking are not absorbing, then you are not getting the benefit they should be providing.

Pure Energy pre-workout is loaded with both ‘real’ energy and ‘fake’ or stimulant energy, you get the best of both worlds. Beta-alanine and your standard caffeine to give you a quick swift kick of energy. The type of energy to have you jump out of bed in the morning or run into the gym to get started. This is the foundation of our pre-workout, immediate energy. 

Arginine-alpha-ketoglutarate was added for two reasons. The first is the vascularity, it increases nitric oxide production helping to make your veins pop. Arginine-alpha-ketoglutarate has also been shown to reduce blood lactate which helps reduce muscle fatigue, improving endurance so you can lift even harder!

Finally, important B vitamins were added to facilitate long term energy. These are the main nutrients that facilitate the body producing ATP. ATP is the actual usable form of energy in the body. It requires B vitamins for the body to make this process happen. So after the beta-alanine and caffeine kick in, you’ll be ripping apart calories making real energy as well!
